Elizabeth Shaw

I joined the Greek system in my second year of university and have never regreted that decision. As the current president of my sorority, I wear my letters, Kappa Alpha Theta, with pride. The history and ritual behind the meaning of fraternity letters is very significant, therefore to be a woman capable of wearing the letters and badge of an outsanding fraternity such as Sigma Chi is an amazing honor.
The men of Sigma Chi have always been there for me from the very beginning and I am fortunate enough to have a whole fraternity who constantly makes me smile, laugh and let me be myself; men who I consider as my best friends. Whether its cheering them on during late night Whalers games, or early morning soccer games, roadtripping with them to Oregon for Province, living with them in the Sig House during the summer or getting ready before another themed party, the good times never end!
I would not be where I am today without the encouragement and support of the the Sigma Chi's. Their committment to leadership, sports and social networking in the Greek system has been unfaltering and they are always willing to go the extra mile to be the #1 fraternity on this campus! They are recognized by the community, the university and other Greek organizations as leaders of men, a slogan which holds true to the men of Sigma Chi. With an amazing pledge class each year, the fraternity continues to grow stronger as more individuals see the potential to be outstanding leaders.
I look at these men for inspiration, support and friendship and admire them for being themselves and putting 110% in everything they do. It is difficult to say how much the Delta Omicron Sigma Chi's mean to me... I honestly love them so much and am honored to be their Sweetheart!
Love,
